Since March 2010: Served as senior marketing consultant for Pearl's Premium in Wayland, MA, which developed, produces and markets an "Ultra Low Maintenance" lawn seed that is people-, pet- and planet-friendly and saves time, money, energy and water.
Since February 2008: Serve as Coordinator of Worcester Local First, an economic-sustainability campaign founded in September 2007 to encourage Worcester retail and business-to-business customers to "think local first, shift 10 percent" when buying products and services. In August 2008, Worcester Local First published 30,000 copies its 2008-2009 Business Directory, which contained listings for the 200+ members plus 20 pages of ads by member businesses. In August 2009, Worcester Local First published 30,000 copies its 2009-2010 Shopping Directory, which contains listings for the 210+ members plus 22 pages of ads by member businesses. Worcester Local First now has more than 220 members, all of which are local, independent and based in Worcester.
Since September 1995: Host the The Business Beat, a 30-minute Q&A on Central Massachusetts and Massachusetts business and economic issues, which is broadcast and webcast Sundays at 10 p.m. (Eastern) on WICN/90.5 FM and WICN.org. From January 2006 to January 2007, co-hosted "This New Car," a 26-week special edition of The Business Beat, which focused on hybrids and alternative-fuel vehicles.
